
ISLAMABAD: The police said they could not provide foolproof security to former military ruler General (retd) Pervez Musharraf on the occasion of his appearance before the court in the judges detention case, sources told Geo news.
According to the sources, the reply seeking immunity for Musharraf to appear before the court in judges’ detention case has been submitted. The Chief Commissioner and IG Islamabad submitted replies in the special court.
According to sources, the police said they could not provide foolproof security to the former military ruler amid threats. The reply contended that it is impossible to provide security to Musharraf on the occasion of his appearance before the court as it added that there is a risk of attacks on the former president.
Sources further claimed that Chief Commissioner in his reply also stated that security could not be provided to Musharraf.
