SLAMABAD: Ayla Malik who was fielded to contest by-elections on the seat vacated by Imran Khan allegedly failed to pass the scrutiny of her educational credentials, The News reported on Saturday.
The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE), Rawalpindi, has declared her intermediate certificate ‘bogus’ that carries the roll number of a male candidate who too had failed, a spokesman of BISE confirmed to The News.
PTI told The Express Tribune that some political opponents were challenging her credentials in her home town. The party is silent on the issue as it is a matter of inquiry.
Ayla has been fielded as PTI candidate for by election from NA-71 after the party chairman Imran Khan vacated the seat, keeping his Rawalpindi seat.
Similarly, PTI MNA Ghulam Sarwar Khan’s party membership was suspended after being found with a fake degree.
