وزیراعظم عمران خان نے پرتشدد جنونی ہجوم کے ہاتھوں توہینِ قرآن کا الزام لگا کر ایک شخص کو وحشیانہ طریقے سے قتل کئے جانے کا نوٹس لے لیا ہے۔ وزیراعظم عمران خان نے اردو اور انگلش میں ٹویٹس کرتے ہوئے لکھا
کسی فرد/گروہ کیجانب سے قانون ہاتھ میں لینے کی کوشش قطعاً گوارا نہیں کی
جائے گی چنانچہ انبوہی تشدد (Mob lynchings) کو نہایت سختی سے کچلیں گے۔میں نے IG پنجاب سے میاں چنوں واقعے کے ذمہ داروں اور فرائض کی انجام دہی میں ناکام رہنے والے پولیس اہلکاروں کیخلاف کارروائی کی تفصیلات طلب کی ہیں۔
We have zero tolerance for anyone taking the law into their own hands & mob lynchings will be dealt with full severity of the law. Have asked Punjab IG for report on action taken against perpetrators of the lynching in MIan Channu & against the police who failed in their duty.
