Amateur footage shows an asteroid disintegrating as it comes into contact with the Earth's atmosphere near the coast of the English Channel at night. The phenomenon produces an intense light that lasts a few seconds, which could be seen from northern France and the south of the United Kingdom. The little space rock was just one meter wide. The International Meteor Organization said that it could be the source of a potential meteorite fall.
