Pak Iran relations in tailspin following Iranian air strikes on Pakistani soil. Calling it " unwarranted aggression " and "unprovoked violation" Pakistan has strongly protested and warned Iran of serious consequences following air strikes by Iranian airforce against what it perceived as alleged terrorist sites in Pakistan. The attack on Pakistan soil resulted in the tragic death of two children and left three others wounded. The assault was labeled by Pakistan grave violation of its airspace.
The incident follows a series of Iranian strikes in Iraq and Syria less than a day earlier, indicating a broader regional escalation.
The Iranian attack on Pakistani territory has further strained diplomatic relations between the two countries. Pakistan has expressed its strong disapproval, citing the violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity. The assault is viewed as contrary to the spirit of the friendly and neighborly relations both nations have maintained.
Pakistan's Foreign Office, in a statement, highlighted the unacceptable nature of the attack, emphasizing that it violates the Pakistan-Iran Security Accord of February 2013, which calls for joint operations against common terror threats.
Pakistan Foreign Office criticized Iran for choosing to attack Muslim countries, including Pakistan, instead of directing efforts against Israel. The move was deemed hypocritical, and the statement called for strong condemnation of such unwarranted aggression.

Pakistan has long list of extremely serious security related complaints against Iran. Iranian Baluchistan, across the border from Pakistan, has long been a hotbed of anti-Pakistan terrorist activities. The arrest of Kulbhushan Jadhav, an Indian spy and alleged mastermind of terrorist activities against Pakistan, offered damning confirmation of Iranian involvement in anti-Pakistan activities. Jadhav had his spying base in the Iranian port city of Chahbahar. The rugged and porous border between Iran and Pakistan provides terrain facilitates activities for Baluch secessionist groups and anti-Pakistan terrorist activities. Important for both countries to engage in serious dialogues to address mutual concerns and revive the spirit of brotherly relations that prevailed between their governments and citizens in 60s and 70s.
