Are they playing the role of a national leader well or not?” In response, 64% said Imran Khan (PTI) was a good national leader, 44% said the same about Khurshid Shah (PPP) and 23% about Altaf Hussain (MQM). 28% thought Maulan Fazl-ur-Rehman (JUI-F) was a good national leader whereas 44% viewed Syed Munawar Hassan (JI) favorably.

Bilal Gilani, Executive Director at Gallup added, “A significant number of non-PTI voters also held positive view of Imran Khan”.

The study was released by Gilani foundation and carried out by Gallup Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 2621 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, during August 19, 2013 – August 26, 2013.
